What Does Your Downline Think Of You?

Being successful in any MLM means two things… moving product
and building an organization.

If you’ve got good products, the first part is pretty easy.

It’s the SECOND part that’s a freaking NIGHTMARE for most
marketers.

Here’s a question I get all the time…

Q. “I worked really hard to bring someone into the business, and
a week later they quit. What am I doing wrong?”

A. You’re probably working TOO hard to bring each new person in.

You don’t want to “convince and sell” them on the business.

You also don’t want to paint a picture of how they’ll get rich
sitting on their duffs, either.

When you do, it sets your new members up for a big shock when
they realize
that building an organization is going to be darned
DIFFICULT.

They probably approach a friend or two, who laughs at them.

Then they try making phone calls and either get too scared to
even place that first call, or they call someone and get told
“No!”

Suddenly, they forget all the brilliant points you made when
“recruiting” them, and all they can think about is REJECTION!!!

So they quit.

They feel bad.

You feel bad.

And now you have to go find a NEW prospect and do it all over
again.

The solution?

First, start ATTRACTING people to your business, rather than
SELLING people on your business.

Position yourself and your business in such a way that prospects
are recruiting YOU as their sponsor.

Second, teach your downline to do the exact same thing.

Never tell your downline to approach their friends and family.

Let’s face it, we have far less credibility with our friends and
family than with strangers.

Our friends KNOW us. They know all our faults, our quirks, and
they know about the other three businesses we tried to start and
failed.

And our family has seen us naked, for crying out loud.

Become a success, and when your friends and family ask what
you’re doing, THEN tell them, if you want.

In the meantime, put a system in place for ATTRACTING all the
quality prospects you could ever want, and teaching your new
recruits to do the exact same thing.

Here’s another question I get all the time…

Q. “How can I motivate my downline to do more?”

A. Guess what, you’re NOT in the hound-your-downline-to-death-in-
order-to-get-them-to-do-something business.

You’re in the empowerment business.

You give your downline the tools and support they need to be
successful.

It’s up to them to build their own business.

You do not work FOR your downline. You work WITH them.

Teach them how to attract new customers and prospects like crazy.

Give them the tools they need to be successful.

And then step back and see if they go to work.

Some will.

Some won’t.

So what.

Because you’ve got a never ending stream of new prospects (or you
will, when you finish Brad’s book) you don’t need to hound
anybody.

One go-getter who knows what he wants and works hard to get it is
worth 10,000 people you have to “nag” day in and day out.

Get Brad’s system, let the prospects come to you, and then work
with the ones who are just as excited and motivated as you are.

You’ll be happier, you’ll make more money (a LOT more money) and
your downline will thank you for it.

P.S. When you don’t nag, plead and beg your downline members to
get to work, do you know what happens?

They respect you.

And when the time comes that some of them ARE ready to get to
work, they’ll do so happily and willingly, because you DIDN’T
hound them to death.

Plus they’ve had time to observe you effortlessly bringing new
people into the business, and they’ve begun thinking to
themselves, “I can do THAT!”

It’s a win-win all around.
